1) Logging Email Tracking Data (Opens/Clicks) to Salesforce.com

Now Email Tracking Data (opens/clicks) can be logged Salesforce to provide more detailed reporting.

In order to enable this feature on your account, a FrontSpin admin user from your team must submit a request to support@frontspin.com. Please note that this data will only be logged to Salesforce during periodic sync (which runs every 15-20 mins) and also when a Lead/Contact record is updated. Tracking this additional data will consume additional API calls.

To enable this, Admins will need to create the following custom fields in Salesforce on Lead & Contact Objects:

  • Last Email Open Date (Date/time field type) – Date/time the last email to a contact that was sent through FrontSpin was opened
  • Last Email Click Date (Date/time field type) – Date/time the last email to a contact that was sent through FrontSpin was clicked
  • Number of Opens for the Last Email (Number field type) – Number of Opens for the Last email that was sent to a Contact
  • Number of Clicks for the Last Email (Number field type) – Number of Clicks for the Last email that was sent to a Contact
  • Sum of Email Opens For a Contact (Number field type) – Total Number of Opens on all emails sent to a contact
  • Sum of Email Clicks For a Contact (Number field type) – Total Number of Clicks on all emails sent to a contact
  • Activity/Task Object (logged on each email sent through FrontSpin):

  • Number of opens (Number field type)
  • Number of clicks (Number field type)
  • Last open date (Date/time field type)
  • Last click date (Date/time field type)
  • First open date (Date/time field type)
  • First click date (Date/time field type)
  • After creating these fields, Admins will need to go to FrontSpin Settings => Integrations => Mapping => Reload Fields (top right corner), then map the new fields and Save.
