Dials vs. Outbound Calls

In the FrontSpin reports you will see two key metrics, DIALS and OUTBOUND CALLS

DIALS are all calls made by the user, including calls that never connected to the other end (e.g. the user hung up the call right away, the number was bad and couldn't connect, etc.). 

OUTBOUND CALLS are all calls that connected to the other end and have >0 seconds of talk time. 

The FrontSpin mini-dashboard only shows the  OUTBOUND CALLS metric as that is more indicative of the efforts the user is generating. 

If you want to see only the  OUTBOUND CALLS in a Salesforce activities report or dashboard, simply add the filter "Call Duration (seconds) greater than 0".
